Andrea L. Hustik, 77, longtime resident of Hopelawn, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021.

Born in Perth Amboy to Andrew and Esther Geletta. Andrea was a long time communicant of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption in Perth Amboy.

She was a retired teacher with the City of Newark Public School System and loved teaching. She taught for 29 years. She received her Bachelor's Degree and Masters Degree from Kean College in Psychology and Special Education.

She loved her son and adored her granddaughters.

She loved to travel, loved going on cruises and enjoyed camping. She was a faithful viewer of the "Judge Judy" TV program, and watched all the re-runs.

She liked to carry her own salt shaker and ice with her whenever she went out.  She was one of a kind, and will be greatly missed.

She was the beloved wife of the late George L. Hustik, who predeceased her in 2010. She was a devoted mother to Michael Sullivan. loving grandmother to Shaunna and Rachael Sullivan and great-grandmother to Sophia Rae Boruch., dear mother-in -law to Regina Kuruc, loving aunt to Sarah Avilleira and her husband Lou, great aunt to Xavier, loving aunt to Robert Rusin and Steven C. Rusin, loving aunt to Kayla and Steven A. Rusin. Sister to Janice Zawartkay and her husband Paul, sister to Russel Geletta and his wife Lola, aunt to Lisa Kaufman and her husband Scott, great aunt to Tyler and Samantha.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday morning, July 13, 2021, from 10 am to 11 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863. A funeral service will commence at 11 am at the funeral home, followed by an interment in Clover Leaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodbridge.
