Anabel Muniz Marrero, 81, of Perth Amboy, passed away on September 2, 2015 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy.
She was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico and resided in Perth Amboy for most of her life.
Anabel worked for 15 years as an assembly worker at Metex Corp. in Edison, retiring in 1994. She was a communicant at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Perth Amboy, past president of Asociacion de Apostolados and past president of the Puerto Rican Women's Civic Organization.
Anabel was predeceased by her husband, John in 1977, her daughter, Lillian in 2010 and her brothers, Ramerio Jr. and Robert Muniz.
Surviving are her children, John and daughter-in-law, Arlene of Tinton Falls, Francis of Perth Amboy, Miriam De Jesus and her husband Jay of Perth Amboy. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jason Andrew and Lauren De Jesus, Johnny III and Alanna Sofia Marrero, her siblings, Erundina and Noemi Rodriguez, Raymond Muniz, Inocencia Febles, Nancy Muniz, Rita Garcia, Rosalina Williams, Romana Febles, Florence Santiago, Joseph Muniz, Angelina Martinez, George Muniz and Margarita Gonzalez.
Funeral Services will be held 9:15 AM on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. A 10 AM funeral liturgy will be at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Perth Amboy with interment to follow at Alpine Cemetery. Viewing will be (today) Friday 6-9 PM.
