America Muniz, 88 of Edison, passed peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2017, at home.

Born in Homestead, PA and formerly of Perth Amboy and Fords, she had resided in Edison for the last two years.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bernardino, who died in 1992.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Raquel Barros with whom she resided in Edison, her two sons, Jose Muniz of Colts Neck and Bryan Muniz of Manalapan, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a sister, Milagros Arruti of Santander, Spain and her brother Marcelino Pernia of Paramus.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral

Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 10 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church Fords. Entombment will follow in St Gertrude's Cemetery Mausoleum, Colonia.
