Amelia
Belon
March 20, 2010 – March 17, 2023
Amelia Belon sadly passed from this world on Friday, March 17, 2023. Amelia had so much love to give and life yet to experience. We are all deeply saddened by her tragic passing. While we will carry the pain of Amelia's loss with us forever and in different ways, we can try to take some comfort in the fact that she is now free from pain.
Amelia was born in New Jersey and split time with her Mother in Metuchen where she attended 7th grade at Edgar School. Amelia shared weekends with her dad in Washington, NJ.
From a young age Amelia was particularly fond of fishing and visiting her grandpa's farm to feed and pet the alpacas, pigs, and goats. Amelia had several pets of her own that she faithfully and lovingly cared for. Amelia had a dog named "Peche," a turtle named "turtle", a hamster named "Clover", chickens "Rosie & Penelope". She was on the lookout for a German Shepherd to bring home whom she learned all about from her Poppi. Amelia loved all animals and in her view there were never too many to have at home.
Amelia was a sweet and loving young lady with a smile that could light up a room. Like many kids, Amelia was growing up fast and enjoyed socializing with her friends, singing along with the latest pop song, and dressing 'on trend' with clothes from her favorite store lululemon. Amelia had an outgoing personality and enjoyed traveling with her family to the shore, on ski trips throughout the northeast, and to the emerald coast in Florida. In short order Amelia managed to become an expert skier conquering black diamond slopes in fearless youthful fashion.
Friends may call at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. There will be a chant for Amelia at 5:00pm., and a prayer service will be offered at 6:30pm. Cremation will take place privately.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of Amelia's life passion that was cut short far too soon, please donate to German Shepard rescue of NJ (http://www.gsrnj.org) or to the society for the prevention of teen suicide ( https://sptsusa.org/about-us/ )
