Alva Dena Conte, 78, of Middletown, passed away on August 18, 2021, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.  Born in Brooklyn, NY Alva lived in Boynton Beach, FL before moving to Middletown 10 years ago.  She was a Legal Secretary for the State of New Jersey, Red Bank for 11 years before retiring.  Alva was the Past President of American Legion Post #164 Ladies Auxiliary, and VFW #5335 Ladies Auxiliary, Boynton Beach, FL.

Alva is survived by her four children: Staci Hohmann and her husband, Kevin; and Edward, Craig and Gregory Conte; her grandchildren: Matthew, Sean, Eddie, Sarah and Jamie; her sister, Heidi Gulino and her husband, John; and her beloved dog, Teddy.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 1 PM to 3 PM, at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.
