Allen G. LaForge, 70, of Fords, passed away peacefully at home on June 23, 2023.  Allen was born and raised in Perth Amboy.  He was a graduate of Raritan High School in Hazlet. Allen spent over 20 years post high school studying marine biology and computer science, earning bachelor's degrees from the University of Miami, Rutgers University, and earned master's degrees from Rutgers and Monmouth Universities. Allen was a retired computer programmer for Bell Labs, AT&T, Avia, and Lucent Technologies.

Allen loved going to the movie theater and loved to show off his intelligence by getting nearly every question correct nightly watching his favorite show, Jeopardy.  His biggest love was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was an inspiration and source of strength to many, overcoming several obstacles throughout his life.  Allen will be missed by everyone in his life!

Allen is survived by his wife of 46 years, Debra of Fords, his sons; James of Spotswood, John of Keyport, and Matthew of Bayville, his daughters-in-laws; Kyle, Joanna, and Tina, his grandchildren; Emily, Julia, Rhiannon, and Ryan, his brother; Brian of Anchorage, AK, his sister Diana of Jersey City, and his cousins; Edward and Karen of Frenchtown and Gary and Becky of Albrightsville, PA.

A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords.  Burial of his cremated remains will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 1, 2023 in CloverLeaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
