Obituary

Allan "Coach Al" Fecso, 70, of Highlands, NJ, passed peacefully on December 2, 2018, at the Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.

He was born in Perth Amboy and was formerly of Metuchen and had resided in the Highlands since 2011.

He was a disabled Viet Nam veteran, serving in the U.S Army and was a member of the South Plainfield VFW.

He had been a retired carpenter, working with several carpenter's unions, including Locals #1107 and # 65.

He was a member of MENSA.

"Coach Al" had been a softball player and coach of girls softball for most of his life, both professionally and as a volunteer, with his latest stint as a Girls Collegiate Softball coach with the Middlesex County College, Women's Softball Team, in Edison, from 2006-2009.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joanne Fecso, who died earlier this year, in May.

He leaves behind, his beloved daughter, Danielle Bartko and her husband Robert, of Bridgeville, PA, his beloved son, Adam Fecso of Keyport, NJ, his four dear grandchildren; Anna and Kataryna Bartko and Adriana and Aiden Fecso, his devoted brother, Ronald Fecso and his sister-in-law, Barbara, of Arlington, VA and his dear sister, Debra Fecso, of Eatontown, NJ.

A memorial visitation will take place on Thursday, December 6, 2018, from 6-8 pm, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave. Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

His cremated remains will be laid to rest, privately, on Friday December 7, 2018, at St. Michael's Cemetery, Hopelawn.
