Obituary

Alice Goldfarb, 80, of Parlin, passed away on March 1, 2015 in Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. She was born April 23, 1934 in Manhattan. She was a secretary of Murray Weissman in Edison. Alice was an usherette on Broadway. She danced and sang at many piano bars in New York City; more recently, she sang at the Cornerstone in Metuchen.
Alice is survived by her husband of 60 years, George Goldfarb of Parlin; daughter, Pat Lee of Ocean Grove; son, Gerard Goldfarb and his wife, Julie of Edison; daughter, Ellen Goldfarb of Asbury Park; daughter, Liz Saccente and her husband, Lenny of Edison; son, Chris Goldfarb and his wife, Gina of Parlin; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Michael Polye and his wife, Debbie of Metuchen.
Visitation will be Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840 Funeral services will begin Tuesday 9:30 am at the funeral home, followed by a 10:15 Funeral Liturgy at St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen. Interment will be in Forest Lawn cemetery in Iselin.
Donations may be made to the St. Jude's Children Hospital or to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
