Obituary

Alice Mary Britton, 88, of Edison, passed away on February 13, 2018 and joined the love of her life, James.  Born in Perth Amboy to Margaret and George Davala, she had resided in Edison most of her life.  Mrs. Britton graduated from Metuchen High School.  Alice was a proud homemaker, who was an excellent cook and always put together wonderful gatherings for her large family.

Mrs. Britton belonged to Our Lady of Peace Church for many, many years.  She loved to read and had a vast knowledge of Early American History.  Alice spent many summers at the Jersey Shore with her family.  She loved trips to Atlantic City and staying in B&Bs; but, most of all, she loved her family, and they loved and cherished her.

Alice was predeceased by her loving husband, James; her brothers, Joseph and George Davala; her sisters, Margaret Samo and Mary Ann Banaszek; and her late son-in-law, Frank Weber.

She leaves behind her son, James and his wife, Beth, of Marlboro; her three daughters, Christina Gagliardi and her husband, Frank, of Edison, Susanne Miller and her husband, Walter, of Colonia, and Lisa Weber of Jackson; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
