Alfred S. Kolator, 65, of Fords, passed away at home peacefully, surrounded by his family on March 6, 2013. He was born May 2, 1947 in Perth Amboy. He has been a resident of Fords for 30 years. He was a Customer Service Representative for Verizon for 32 years. Alfred was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1965. He was a Captain with the Humane Fire Department in Perth Amboy. He loved bowling and was a Past President of the Middlesex County Bowling Association and a member for 35 years. He was also a member of the Middlesex County Bowling Hall of Fame. He was an avid surf fisherman.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred W. Kolator and Elizabeth Kolator. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, JoAnn (nee Yadlovski) Kolator of Fords; son, Glenn Kolator and his wife Katie of North Brunswick; brother, David Kolator and his wife Daryl of Rhode Island.

Visitation will be at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863, on Friday, March 8, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 9:15 am at the funeral home followed by a Devine Liturgy service at St. John The Baptist Orthodox Church in Perth Amboy. Entombment will be in Holmdel Cemetery's mausoleum.
