Alexander Simon's Obituary
Alexander J. Simon Jr., 84, of Fords, passed away on June 28, 2015, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He was born August 26, 1930, in Perth Amboy. He worked as a Chemist for Raritan Copper, in Perth Amboy and U.S. Metals in Carteret He also worked for the last 22 years as a Billing Processor for the Middlesex County Mental Health Center. He served as an Ariel Photographer in the US Navy. He graduated from Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1948. Alexander loved photography and gardening.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Josephine Simon.
Alexander was a devoted husban, father and grandfather, survived by his wife of 59 years, Veronica (nee Sadowski) Simon of Fords; daughter, Michele Matulonis and her husband, Thomas, of Edison; son, Allen Simon of North Brunswick; grandchildren, Alexandra and Andrew Matulonis, Alissa and Jaclyn Simon and their mother, Lisa; sister, Marjorie Cimmino of Edison.
Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral Services will begin Friday 9:30 am followed by a 10 am Funeral Liturgy at Good Shepherd Parish in Holy Rosary Church. Entombment will be in St. James Mausoleum.
Donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
