Alexander G. Balog 93 of Pine Beach entered into eternal rest Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Geraldine Thompson Care Center. He was born in Perth Amboy, formerly of Woodbridge, for 40 years, before moving to Pine Beach, 25 years ago.
He was a Naval Architect designing boats with the Welin Davit and Boat Co. in Perth Amboy for 20 years. He then went on to be a Project Designer at Rutgers University before retiring in1986.
Alexander was a member of the Toms River Seaport Society an avid outdoors man, craftsman, and sailor.
He was predeceased by his wife Martina in 2012. Alexander is survived by his sons Peter of Morganville, Paul and his wife Linda of Beachwood, and Perry and his wife Barbara of Howell. He is also survived by his grandchildren Krista, Laurel, Morgan, and Connor, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Monday at 9:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 2-4 pm only. Contributions are requested to the Alzheimers Foundation.
