Aldrich W. "Bud" Guscott, 89, a 50-year resident of Highland Park, died Thursday, January 20, 2011 at The Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune.
Bud was an electrician with the IBEW Union Locals #1319 and # 456, of New Brunswick for over 35 years, before retiring in 1986.
He was a dedicated member of the Vestry at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Highland Park for over 30 years. He was a communicant of Christ Church of New Brunswick. He also was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons, South Amboy Lodge # 63
He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Air Force. Bud was proud to be an American and he was an avid New York Mets fan.
Bud is survived by his loving wife, Rita (La Pelosa) Guscott to whom he was happily married for 59 years; his daughter, Patricia Hess of Pennington; his 3 sons: Douglas Guscott of Highland Park, Dennis Guscott and his wife Josephine of Cinnaminson, and David Guscott and his fiancee, Celina Straughn of Bensalem, PA; and his 7 grandchildren: Jenna and Erik Hess; Jackie, John, David Ryan, Matthew, and Christopher Guscott. He was a wonderful, loving, and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 23, 2011, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and again on Monday January 24, 2011 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m.
