Obituary

Albina Hardik passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ.

Born on November 8, 1929 in Lancaster, PA to the late John and Ana Dzado, Albina moved to Czechoslovakia with her parents shortly after her birth. After spending her childhood there, she moved back to the United States when she was of age and settled in Fords, NJ. She was most recently a resident of Perth Amboy, NJ. After moving back, Albina worked as an inspector for Revlon for 33 years, retiring in 1983. Albina was an active member of the Woodbridge Community center and a devout member of both the Holy Rosary Society and the Slovak American Citizens of Holy Trinity Church, Perth Amboy. She developed a love for aerobics and exercise that continued through her many friends at Woodbridge Community Center.

Albina is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Hardik; her brother, Mike; and her sisters, Anna and Pauline.

Surviving Albina is her cherished daughter, Bernadine Green along with her husband Tommy; her wonderful caretakers/niece and nephew-in-law, Patricia “Patti” and Jerry Kohut; along with many other nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.

Visitation will take place on Monday, July 20, 2026 between the hours of 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin the next morning, Tuesday, at 9:15 AM at the funeral home. A procession will then follow to Holy Trinity Church, Lawrie St., Perth Amboy, for a 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy. Albina will be entombed with her husband, Joseph, in St. Gertrude Mausoleum, Colonia, NJ.
