Alberto Gonzalez, 97, of Perth Amboy died on Tuesday December 6, 2011, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.

He was born in Havana, Cuba, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1970, settling in Perth Amboy. Alberto
was an assembler for Fedders Corp. in Edison for many years prior to his retirement 18 years ago.

Alberto is predeceased by his two sons, Alfredo and Albert Gonzalez and his grandson, Michael L. Gonzalez (2008). Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maria Luisa (Molina) Gonzalez; his son, Pedro Gonzalez and his wife Ida of Spotswood; his daughter, Elia Justina in Cuba; several grandchildren in Cuba and Troy Gonzalez of Spotswood; and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be on Friday, December 9, 2011, at 8:30 p.m. at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. A private cremation will follow. Visitation will be on Friday, December 9, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Alberto's memory to the "Butterfly Circle of Friends" (a not for profit organization) dedicated to the memory of his late grandson, Specialist Michael L. Gonzalez c/o P.O. 187, Spotswood, NJ 08884
