Obituary

Aladar "Al" John Lukacs, 92, of Edison, passed away on October 21, 2016, surrounded by his family at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center.

He was born in Edison and resided there his entire life.

John was an Operating Engineer for 47 years at Delta Trucking and Excavating Company in Edison, retiring in 1988.

He was a communicant and usher at Our Lady of Peace Church, member of the Knights of Columbus Council 9199, Holy Name Society, Edison Clara Barton Seniors and the Clara Barton Senior Social Club.

John was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Julia (Farkas); his brothers: Joseph, Stephen, Michael, William, Gaza and Zolton and by his sister, Margaret.

Surviving is his wife Bernadette "Bernice" (Pasterak); his daughters, Gail Lukacs-Connell and her husband Michael of Emerson, Denise Bianrosa-O'Gara and her husband Thomas of New Egypt; his grandchildren: Christopher, Lyndsey, Thomas his sister Elizabeth Shwiner and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on October 26, 2016 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., with a 10:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady Of Peace Church, Fords. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Mausoleum, Holmdel.

Viewing will be Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
