Obituary

Adolph J. Vanco, 90, of Edison died at home May 9, 2011. Born in Czechoslovakia, he resided in Edison since 1955. Before to his move to Edison, he lived in Woodbridge and Perth Amboy.

Adolph was a Foreman for Gerber Pluming in Woodbridge prior to his retirement. He was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1938. He was a communicant and usher at Our Lady of Peace Church. Adolph enjoyed gardening, fishing, and bowling.

He was predeceased by his brother, Rudolph Vanco, in 1998. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth Orsak Vanko of Edison; daughters, Mary Ann Lombardi and her husband Vincent of Edison; Ruth Ann Palfi and her husband Julius of Colonia; Janice Kijowski and her husband Kenneth of Fords; and his grandchildren, Brian, Jason, Lynn, and Kevin.

Funeral services will begin Friday, May 13, 2011, at 10:00 am from FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863 followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Hopelawn. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, May 12, from 4:00-7:00 pm.
