Aaron Nicholas Aponte, 28, passed away on July 9, 2024. Born to Richard and Merida "May" (née Montalvo) Aponte, he was a life-long resident of Freehold, New Jersey and a graduate of Freehold Township High School, Class of 2014. Aaron was an A.S.E. Certified Mechanic and was most recently self-employed. He formerly worked for Monmouth County in the bridge department. He was a motorcycle and Volkswagen enthusiast and a talented musician. He was known for his ingenuitive, inventive nature, generosity, wit, infectious sense of humor, and deep love for his family, friends, girlfriend, and animals, especially his dog.
Aaron was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Francisco and Juanita Aponte; his maternal grandfather, Marcial Montalvo, Sr.; his uncles: Israel Aponte, Diego Aponte, Benigno Santiago, and Mickey Montalvo; his aunts, Blanca Aponte and Linda Montalvo; and his nephew, Elijah Littles.
He has left behind to cherish his memory his parents, May Aponte of Freehold, and Richard Aponte of Perth Amboy; his siblings: Christina Aponte Swiercz and her husband, Nicholas, of Brick; Jacqueline Aponte of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Alexandra Aponte and her partner, Desmond Littles of Perth Amboy; and Richard Aponte, II of Freehold; his long-time girlfriend, Karen Chernoff; his maternal grandmother, Christina ("Mama") Montalvo of Perth Amboy; his nieces: Rosalia and Adriana Cheek, Rhiannon Swiercz, and Eliana Littles; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his beloved dog, Peanut.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 8:15 am followed by a 9:00 am Funeral Mass at Most Holy Rosary Church of the Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery.
