Dorothy Shaute

Dorothy Shaute, age 87, died on Thursday at her home in Middlesex. She was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Woodbridge before moving to Middlesex in 1958.

Dorothy retired in 1989 after 27 years as a Group Leader with E.R. Squibb and Sons in North Brunswick. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex and St. Mary’s Church in Perth Amboy and was a member of the St. Mary’s Senior Citizens and the San Salvador Senior Citizens of Perth Amboy, the E.R. Squibb Senior Citizens Activity Club of North Brunswick, the Woodbridge Emblem Club # 351 and the Woodbridge AARP Chapter # 3869.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Shaute who died in 1996, her brother, Lawrence McMahon who died in 1997 and her mother, Mary Chakosky McMahon.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey J. and Miriam Shaute of Sayreville and Kevin J. and Kathryn Shaute of Manville, her daughter, Barbara Leach and her friend, Michael Misikonis of Woodbridge and her 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey J. Shaute, Jr. and Kelly Ann Shaute of Sayreville, Ian P. Shaute and Dana L. Shaute of Manville, Mark F. Kujawski of Woodbridge and Cynthia A. Lutz of South Carolina. Also surviving are her 4 great-grandchildren, her 2 nieces, Maureen Sekerak and Kathleen McMahon and her nephew, Lawrence Mc Mahon all of South Amboy, and her sister-in-law, Bernice McMahon of South Amboy.
