Lee P. Samsoe

Lee P. Samsoe, age 77 of Edison, died on Saturday at Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was born in Perth Amboy where he lived most of his life, moving to Edison 11 years ago.

Lee recently retired from Menlo Engineering of Highland Park where he worked for the last 7 years. Prior to that he had been employed with the Laborers Union Local # 72 of Ford and New Jersey Bell of Elizabeth.

He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 45 of Perth Amboy.

He is survived by his brother, Arthur Samsoe of Edison, his 3 sisters, Estelle Coffey of Farmingdale NJ, Gladys Samsoe of Fords and Frances Lewis of Pottstown, PA. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and his best friend Doris Estock, with whom he resided, and her 5 children, Dixie Lesko of NC, Karen Fitzpatrick and Cynthia Hixon both of East Brunswick, Lorene Giordano of Edison and Kathleen Edwards of South Plainfield.
