Marie A. Roman

Marie A. Roman, age 76 of Brick, died on Saturday at the Jersey Shore-University Hospital in Neptune. She was born in Perth Amboy where she lived most of her life, before moving to Brick in 1998.

Marie was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Perth Amboy and St. Peter’s School of Nursing in New Brunswick, where she became a Registered Nurse and was a member of the Alumni Association there. She was employed for 10 years at Bird and Son in Perth Amboy and was later was employed with Haagen- Dazs in Woodbridge for 15 years as Human Resource Administrator. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church in Hopelawn, where she was also a member of the church choir.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Roman who died in 1983 and her daughter, Kathleen Masina who died in 2004.

Surviving are her son, Richard Roman of Oklahoma City, her daughter and son-in-law,Roberta and Richard Mongioi of Farmingdale, NJ and her six grandchildren, Joy and Mark Masina, Jonathan and Jaime Roman and Matthew and Marisa Mongioi.
