Helen A. Reznyk

Helen A. Reznyk, age 90 of Metuchen, died on Tuesday at Brighton Gardens in Edison. She was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Metuchen for the past 67 years.

Helen was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen where she had also been past President of the Altar Rosary Society for many years. She belonged to the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and the Columbiettes #9199 of Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. She was a member of the St. Francis Senior Citizens Club, the Metuchen Senior Citizens Club, and was a charter member the AARP #3446 of Edison. Helen also belonged to the Edison Hungarian Democratic Club, the Pulaski Polish Club of Perth Amboy and was a member of the ILGWU, Local #13 - Newark where she was shop steward for over 13 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph P. Reznyk who died in October 1995, her grandson, Shawn Harrigan who died in September, 2008, her seven sisters and one brother.

Surviving are her daughters, Carol Kwiakowski of Milltown, Patricia Jenkins of East Stroudsburg, PA, Deborah Ruhland of Frenchtown and Charlotte Carney of Coopersburg, PA, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
