Theresa was a homemaker who devoted her time to her family and loved to cook for them. She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s RC Church in Port Reading. She was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, John S. Matye who died in 2002. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Karen Matye of Sewaren and her daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Clarence Neumann of Middletown and Carol and Victor Janson of Iselin. Also surviving are her brother, George Kopko of Perth Amboy, her granddaughter, Melissa Matye of Peoria IL and her two great grandchildren, Kayla and Dustin.
