Michael Kanuik, age 90, died on Saturday at his home in Edison. He was born in Peckville, PA and had resided in Perth Amboy before moving to Edison in 1970. Mr. Kanuik was a Repairman at General Motors in Linden for 40 years retiring, in 1980. He was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Edison, a member of the UAW retirees in Linden and a member of AARP. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Nielsen Kanuik who died in 1998 and his brother, Edward Kanuik. Surviving are his sisters, Julia Romanczyk of Solvay NY and Rose Mariette of West Pitson, PA, his sister-in-law, Marian Kanuik of Blakely, PA, eight nieces , five nephews and many great nieces and great nephews. Michael is also survived by his dear sister-in-law, Margaret M. Nielsen of Edison.
