Jeffrey G. Jacob

Jeffrey G. Jacob, age 63 of Hamilton, died on Tuesday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, NJ. He was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Metuchen for many years before moving to Hamilton 3 months ago.

He was a retired Army Captain having served during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Rider University with a B.S. Degree and worked as the Educational Manager of the New York Society of Security Analysts in New York City. Jeff was active in Metuchen athletics having been a soccer coach for the Metuchen-Edison Boys and Girls Soccer League. He was also the Committee Chairperson for Troop 17 Boy Scouts of America and a member of the 4th Degree Assembly St. Francis Council 3272 Knights of Columbus. He was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Anne McLaughlin Jacob, his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen T. and Becky Jacob of Baltimore, MD, his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon A. and Jon Simpson of Harleysville, PA, his grandson, Liam Jeffrey Simpson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
