Philip J. Check, age 77 of Edison, died on Thursday in the Haven Hospice Unit at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born in Perth Amboy and had been residing in Edison since 1967. Philip was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired 11 years ago from Pitney-Bowes in Trenton where he worked as a Salesman. He was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen. He was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Josephine Kuzma Check and his sister Phyllis Check. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Elvera Check, his sons and daughters-in-law, Philip and Diana Check of Allen, TX, Kevin Check of North Brunswick, NJ and Bryan and Kim Check of Oxford, NJ his 8 grandchildren, Jon, Philip, Megan, Cory, Bryan, Matthew and Samantha and Sara Robles and his sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Jack Chismar of Brick, NJ.
