Patrice M. Barboe, age 52 of Metuchen, died on Wednesday in Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and resided in Metuchen for 20 years, moving to New Brunswick a year ago. Patrice was a pre-school teacher for 8 years at Rutgers University’s Douglas Child Care Center. She was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen, a member of the NAEYC and a Board Member of Kenyon Chapter of the NJAEYC. She was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Griffin Motley who died in 1984. Surviving are her daughter, Nora of Woodbridge, NJ, her father, James Motley of Piscataway, NJ, her brothers, James Motley III and his wife, Louise of Scotch Plains, NJ and Kevin Motley of Los Angeles, CA and her nephew, Nicholas Motley.
